Delhi Police on Saturday busted a fake call centre operating in Patel Nagar. As per the officials, the fraudsters allegedly duped people nationwide by having telecallers pose as representatives of insurance companies.
The police conducted a raid in Delhi’s Patel Nagar, apprehending the alleged mastermind, Khemchand , 35, and recovered Rs 10 lakh in cash, 11 keypad mobile phones, two laptops, forged rubber stamps, and counterfeit motor insurance policy letters used in the scam.
According to a report by PTI, 11 women telecallers employed at the illegal facility were also found at the spot.
