The conditions may not have felt like Christmas Saturday morning with bright sunshine and temperatures hovering in the 40s but Santa Claus did come to town. The procession for the 50th year of the event stepped off on Main Street at Church Street and headed north six blocks to Clinton Street. Over 100 units took part, including high school marching bands, elected officials, service clubs, corporate sponsors, youth groups, dance studios, and others.

The holiday fun continues Sunday at Partridge Creek Mall, where the annual tree lighting is expected to draw thousands. It set for 4-7 p.m. at the Clinton Township mall.
