Travis Head stunned England on Saturday afternoon in the first Ashes Test in Perth after being promoted to open the innings for Australia, helping make the run chase easier.

With Usman Khawaja unavailable, Head came out as an opener and attacked from the start, guiding Australia in their chase of 205. He smashed 123 off just 83 balls, hitting 16 fours and four sixes, and finished with an impressive strike rate of 148.19.
