Early in October, FIFA announced that over 1 million tickets had already been sold for the 2026 World Cup. Purchases came from 212 different countries. On Nov. 17, U.S. President Donald Trump also announced the FIFA Pass, which is set to expedite visas for World Cup ticket holders . The pass is set to launch in early 2026.
However, FIFA fans have been more worried about ticket prices. At the beginning of the domestic priority ticket release on Nov. 12, FIFA drew flak after increasing ticket prices due to "variable pricing." The tickets for the final are now at least over $2,000, going up to $7,895 according to Sports Illustrated .
