Tatiana Schlossberg, the daughter of Caroline Kennedy , said she has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and has less than a year to live.

The 35-year-old writer revealed the tragic news in a personal essay she penned for The New Yorker , which was published Saturday.

Schlossberg said she has been living with acute myeloid leukemia, a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. Doctors discovered the disease in May 2024, shortly after she gave birth to her second child, when blood work showed an abnormality.

“A few hours later, my doctor noticed that my blood count looked strange. A normal white-blood-cell count is around four to eleven thousand cells per microliter. Mine was a hundred and thirty-one thousand cells per microliter,” Schlossberg wrote in her essay.
