Some Northwest Arkansas nonprofit organizations will provide free meals around Thanksgiving for those grappling with food insecurity, and residents can pitch in through donations and volunteering.

• The Samaritan Community Center’s cafe will host its annual Thanksgiving lunch Tuesday at its Springdale cafe at 1300 N. Thompson St. and its Rogers cafe at 2910 S. Eighth St.

Samaritan Community Center accepts donations to address food insecurity and provide other services. Every gift given through Dec. 2 will be doubled to support neighbors in need, according to the organization’s website. Donations help fund both Samaritan cafes, snack packs for food-insecure K-12 students, the Samaritan Community Center’s dental clinic and other services.
