Strictly Come Dancing fans say reaction to Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman’s major announcement was ‘so wholesome’ as they were overjoyed with news on the programme.

The annual BBC dancing competition arrived in Blackpool on Saturday night (November 22), for the series’ annual live show at the legendary Tower Ballroom.

Following an opening performance from Steps, which featured the contestants and pro dancers dancing to several of the noughties bands’ hits, Tess and Claudia had some bad news to announce.

After previously being given a bye through Blackpool as a result of injury, it was confirmed that drag queen La Voix is fully withdrawing from the programme following advice from medics.
