OMAHA, Neb. —

Omaha police arrested a 40-year-old man in a deadly hit-and-run crash.

The crash happened on Nov. 16 around 1 a.m. in the area of 26th Avenue and Douglas Street.

A 29-year-old pedestrian was hit by a truck.

INITIAL COVERAGE:

According to police, witnesses said the man was walking in the middle of the street. Two vehicles missed the man, but a truck hit him. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

On Saturday, police arrested Charles White for leaving the scene of a personal injury crash resulting in serious injury or death.
