Gov. Katie Hobbs on Friday announced the appointment of Claudia M. González Jiménez to the Yuma County Superior Court.
“I am honored to accept this appointment for Division 3 and profoundly grateful for the trust placed in me. I’m equally grateful to my family, friends, colleagues and mentors who continue to support me. I look forward to continuing serving Yuma County in this new role,” Gonzalez told the Yuma Sun.
González has served as a commissioner and judge pro tempore on the court since 2021. She began her legal career with the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project and later worked in the Yuma County Attorney’s Office and Yuma County Office of the Legal Defender before joining the bench.
