49ers' Kyle Shanahan confirms one part of Brandon Aiyuk report from The Athletic

During his Saturday media availability, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed part of a new report about wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.

The report, which comes from The Athletic's Dianna Russini and Mike Silver , revealed that Aiyuk and the Niners could be heading for a split in 2026.

Russini and Silver report that the 49ers have voided Aiyuk's guarantees after he failed to attend some team meetings and activities in recent months.

When asked about the situation on Saturday, Shanahan didn't touch on the idea that Aiyuk may have played his last game with the Niners.
