ROCHESTER HILLS, MI— Fans piled in and took their seats as Goodrich and Divine Child faced off in a Division 4 high school football state semifinal at Stoney Creek High School on Saturday, November 22.

The game was close from the first snap. With both teams with a similar run-heavy style of offense, the scene was set for a battle.

This was emphasized with a scoreless first quarter after both teams made key stops defensively.

After a missed Goodrich field goal and a Divine Child touchdown, the second quarter came to an end with Divine Child 7-0 lead heading into the locker rooms.

The third quarter showed some of the most action with Divine Child making a field goal and Goodrich answering with a touchdown, ending in a 10-7 lead entering the fourth quarter.
