CHICAGO — Gopher football fans at Wrigley Field could not sing their hearts out during a rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” before the start of the fourth quarter on Saturday. Northwestern was in the middle of a rally, scoring 22 unanswered points to take a 35-28 lead.
Gophers quarterback Drake Lindsey then threw his career-high fourth touchdown pass to tie the game with eight minutes left, but Minnesota’s porous defense continued to allow Northwestern to churn its way down the field.
