PORTLAND, Ore. — A person was pinned inside their vehicle and had to be extricated near an unrelated house fire in Southwest Portland.

On Saturday, while fire crews were responding to a nearby townhouse fire, where two people were trapped on the balcony, there was a head-on collision near Southwest 55th Avenue and Southwest Barbur Boulevard.

Portland Fire & Rescue crews were able to move quickly to the collision scene and extricate the person, who was hospitalized with injuries; their current condition is unknown at this time.
