STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Staten Island motorist submitted video over concern that a bicyclist did not equip visible lights onto his bike while riding at dusk on Hylan Boulevard.

The short video, captured recently on Hylan Boulevard in the vicinity of Tysens Lane in New Dorp shows a line of vehicles stopped at the light, including what appears to be an e-bike.

As the light turns green, the vehicles proceed forward. The bicyclist is seen riding in the bus lane at a cautious pace. While the rider can be seen with a helmet, the bike does not appear to display any visible lights.

The individual who submitted the video expressed concern over the proximity of a vehicle seen riding closely behind the bicyclist and suggested they invest in some lights for improved visibility.
