CULVER CITY – A speeding motorcyclist was killed Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Culver City, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday in the area of Washington Boulevard and Kensington Avenue, according to Culver City Police Department Public Information Officer Jennifer Atenza.
The victim was speeding eastbound on Washington Boulevard, where he lost control of the bike and was ejected, Atenza said.
“First responders located the motorcyclist in the parkway area between the sidewalk and curb and provided life-saving measures,” she said. “Culver City Fire Department personnel transported the individual to a local hospital, where the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased.”
The roadway was re-opened to traffic at approximately 6:45 a.m.
