In Duquesne’s season finale, the Dukes walked it off against Robert Morris, beating the Colonials 20-17 at Joe Walton Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

“It’s great to end on a winning note,” Duquesne coach Jerry Schmitt said. “I just love seeing the excitement of our guys to win a game here to finish the season.”

Both teams started off quickly, as Robert Morris’ first play was a quick slant turned 63-yard catch and run by Thomas Lee. After getting down to the Duquesne 12-yard line, the Colonials were stifled, settling for a field goal attempt. Defensive lineman A.J. Ackerman got his hands up and blocked Robert Morris’ field goal, keeping the score even.
