The brother of Gary 'Mani' Mounfield has posted a heartfelt update on social media just days after his sudden death. The Stone Roses and Primal Scream bassist passed away at the age of 63. His brother, Greg Mounfield, announced his death on Thursday, November 20.

He posted on Facebook : "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to announce the sad passing of my brother Gary Mani Mounfield. RIP RKID."

In a comment below the post, he added: "Reunited with his beautiful wife Imelda."

The news of Mani's death came almost exactly two years after the passing of his wife Imelda, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2020 and died in 2023, reports the Manchester Eve
