HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - The Hartford Fire Department extinguished a car fire in an underground parking garage on Saturday evening.
There were no injuries reported.
The fire happened around 5:44 p.m. at 57 Sumner Street in the Asylum Hill neighborhood.
Firefighters said the car fire was producing heavy smoke in the parking garage.
The fire was knocked down within minutes, according to the fire department.
The Hartford Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. The city’s Licenses and Inspections Department is assessing the building.
No residents would need to be relocated, according to fire officials.
Sumner Street was temporarily closed and reopened once fire crews cleared the scene.
