MONTEGO BAY - Jamaica defeated the Canada Wolverines 34-12 in a rugby league test match Saturday.
Jalen Harrison, Oliver Lenahan and Jason Chuck scored tries for the Canadian men, who trailed 14-4 at the half at the University of the West Indies.
It marked the Wolverines' first international since October 2024 when they beat Jamaica 28-6 at Toronto's Lamport Stadium. The Canada men tied the U.S. Hawks 16-16 in March 2024 in Las Vegas.
Jamaica's Reggae Warriors are ranked 18th in the world while Canada is No. 30, a ranking largely due to its inactivity.
It was a busy day for Wolverine captain Rhys Jacks, who coached the Canadian under-19 side in a 42-24 loss to the Jamaica under-19 team in the first half of the doubleheader before dressing for the senior game.
The games served as a fun
