LSU center Braelin Moore suffered an ankle injury on Saturday in the first half against Western Kentucky , a team spokesperson said, and he will not return to the game.
Moore — a redshirt junior transferred from Virginia Tech in the offseason — started each of the Tigers’ first 10 games. He suffered a high ankle sprain on the first play from scrimmage in Week 2 against Louisiana Tech, but that injury did not force him to miss any time.
In Moore’s absence, LSU put redshirt sophomore DJ Chester at center.
The Tigers were already missing one starter on their offensive line for their game against the Hilltoppers. Left tackle Tyree Adams has now missed four consecutive contests after he suffered his own high ankle sprain on Oct. 18 in a road loss to Vanderbilt.
