A group of Central Arkansas community organizations gathered Saturday in Little Rock to protest Trump administration policies they said have worsened food insecurity and to collect donations of food, clothing and other basic necessities.

Among the policies cited by People's Protests and Marches of Arkansas, one of the groups that organized the rally, were tariffs that have increased food prices, the suspension of food stamp benefits during the federal government shutdown and expanded work requirements for the food stamp program, enacted under Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
