EUGENE — Dan Lanning earned a one-year contract extension thanks to No. 7 Oregon winning its 10th game of the regular season.
Lanning earned his latest one-year extension through January 2032, worth $10.6 million in salary plus $1 million in deferred compensation, as a result of Oregon’s 42-27 win over No. 15 USC on Saturday.
The fourth-year Ducks coach signed an amended contract in March that keeps him at UO through Jan. 2031 with a total value of $65.4 million. He’s now signed through Jan. 2032 with the additional compensation after earning the only automatic one-year contract extension achievable under the contract.
Lanning can earn performance bonuses this season if Oregon (10-1, 7-1 Big Ten) qualifies for the Big Ten Championship game ($100,000), wins the conference title ($150,00
