STATE COLLEGE — The odds of them both finishing out full four-year careers together at Penn State seemed slim.

In an age of NIL money and the transfer portal, surely one of Kaytron Allen or Nick Singleton would have taken an opportunity to claim a lone spotlight at another school.

But here they were on Saturday night, still sharing the stage. And they celebrated their final game at Beaver Stadium by climbing to the top of Penn State’s storied record book for running backs.

Allen became the Nittany Lions’ all-time leading rusher and Singleton tied the program’s all-time touchdown mark in a 37-10 hammering of Nebraska.
