NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Metro Nashville Police Department is investigating a shooting in Antioch.

MNPD officers responded to reports of shots fired at the Willow Pointe Apartments on Hickory Hollow Trace about 8 p.m. Saturday, after they were called for a crash at the Mapco at 765 Bell Road.

When officers arrived at the Mapco, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a hospital.

Officers at the scene told WSMV a 21-year-old man died from his injuries and a 16-year-old boy sustained critical but non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting.

Police said officers found eight to 10 shell casings at the apartment complex.

MNPD said officers are speaking with the apartment complex to get surveillance video and more information about the shooting.
