AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander vs. Mercedes Mone took place at the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Mone went right after Kris and targeted the left arm of Kris in the early going. Kris fought back, but Mone kept cutting her off and then hit a series of suplexes. Mone fired up like Eddie Guerrero and went to the top rope and went for the frog splash, but Kris put her knees up. Kris caught her with a back body drop then a series of running knee strikes.
