Kangan, Nov 23: A construction company worker died after being hit by a vehicle inside the Z Morh tunnel late Saturday evening, officials said.

They said Irfan Ahmad Raina, a local of Gagangir area of Kangan who was on safety duty inside the Z-Morh Tunnel was severely injured after being hit by a vehicle.

Though Colleagues and locals immediately shifted the injured worker to the Primary Health Centre, Kulan, where doctors provided initial treatment. Medical staff referred him to SKIMS Soura for advanced care. However, he succumbed to his injuries later.

Police said that a case has been registered and an investigation has been initiated into the incident.
