CENTRAL ILLINOIS( 25News Now ) -#11 Illinois State Football’s four-game winning streak comes to a screeching halt in their regular season finale as they fall to in-state rivals Southern Illinois, 37-7.
Tommy Rittenhouse tied the game up at seven on a rushing TD early in the first quarter, but the Salukis would shut out the Redbirds the rest of the way, scoring thirty unanswered.
The Redbirds finish the regular season 8-4 overall(5-3 MVFC), and will now wait to see their fate during the FCS Playoff Selection Show tomorrow at eleven.
