EUGENE — Dan Lanning sent a message to the College Football Playoff committee, with a shot at the SEC in the process, following No. 7 Oregon’s win over No. 15 USC.

The Ducks beats the Trojans 42-27 Saturday afternoon at Autzen Stadium to improve to 10-1 on the season and stay in contention for both a berth in the Big Ten Championship game and playoff spot.

UO entered the week fourth among one-loss teams and without a win over a team currently in the CFP top 25. That changed with the win over USC, which saw its playoff hopes come to an end.
