"Moving here is the second-best decision of my life - behind marrying my wife," Sahil Dalvi says with a wide smile on his face. The 36-year-old rolled the dice and moved to Poundbury with his young family ten years ago and he hasn't looked back.

The town, which is still being built on land belonging to the Duchy of Cornwall, is an urban extension to the county town of Dorchester in Dorset. It follows the vision laid out in A Vision of Britain, the book by the then-Prince Charles, now King Charles . Construction started in October 1993 and is expected to be completed by 2028, with the final town comprising a range of traditional properties, from coach houses, terraces and industrial warehouses to mews houses, townhouses, villas and mansions.
