With Week 12 of the NFL season set to kick off, there are some games you should follow closely this week if you enjoy a little bit of sports betting. Here are the games and the numbers you'll want to know before the action gets underway on Sunday.

New York Jets @ Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens enter this one as 13.5-point favorites, and while that may seem like a large spread, it's worth risking some money on the Ravens anyway. The Ravens have allowed just 14 points per game over their last five outings, and the Jets are looking lifeless this season. Baltimore is also set to have Lamar Jackson good to start against New York. This one could get out of hand, so pick the Ravens to cover.Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers

The Packers will enter this week as six-point favorites, which might not be good news for the franchise's fans. Why is that? Well, the Packers are just 1-5 against the spread this season when playing teams that have losing records. And with star running back Josh Jacobs a game-time decision after limited practice time this week, the Vikings have an advantage. Pick the Vikings to cover, if not outright win, in this one.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Arizona Cardinals

The Jaguars enter as 2.5-point favorites this week, but don't put too much stock in that. Jacksonville is 1-4 against the spread on the road this season, and Arizona is 6-1 against the spread in contests against AFC opponents since the beginning of 2024. The Lions will be ready to play in this one. Coming off a tough loss to Philadelphia, emotions will be high, and Detroit is 12-0 straight up and against the spread in their last 12 outings following a loss. They have also won by double-digits after every loss this season. The Giants, meanwhile, are a mess this year with an injury-riddled team and still reeling from their recent head coach firing. Take the Lions to cover as 13-point favorites here.Carolina Panthers @ San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers with Brock Purdy, Ricky Pearsall, and George Kittle at the same time are a different beast, and while Carolina has looked much better this season than they have in years, they might not be able to keep that luck rolling against San Francisco. They are 5-1 in one-score contests this season, and that isn't sustainable. The 49ers are favorites by more than a score in many models, and are seven-point favorites in the spread.
