Two bulging sacks, thousands of coins, and a husband with a heartfelt plan, that’s what left a Kanpur jeweller stunned recently. A man walked into the shop with his entire year’s savings, hoping to surprise his wife with a gold chain.
As reported by Dainik Bhaskar, the incident occurred at a jewellery store in Ahirwan Raja Market. The customer quietly placed two heavy bags on the counter and began opening them, revealing a mountain of coins.
The man has been identified as 22-year-old Abhishek Yadav, who runs a paan shop near HAL Colony in Kanpur’s Ramadevi area. His shop sees constant footfall, and “most of them,” Yadav said, “pay with Rs 10 coins.” Instead of exchanging them for currency notes, he began saving them with a purpose.
