PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A motorcyclist is fighting for his life after a driver reportedly hit him near downtown Phoenix early Saturday morning.
Just after 12:30 a.m., first responders were called to the intersection of 16th Street and Van Buren Street , where they found the motorcyclist seriously hurt.
Crews with the Phoenix Fire Department responded and took the man to the hospital in critical condition.
Detectives believe the motorcyclist was driving west on Van Buren, approaching 16th Street, when a woman who didn’t yield at a stop sign pulled onto Van Buren and struck him.
Police say the woman stayed on scene and did not show any signs of intoxication.
