A family is due to appear in court for allegedly locking their 14-year-old daughter in a room to starve as they watched through a webcam. The grim case occurred in the United States where the family, from Wisconsin, is being charged with child neglect . ‌

The teenager was so frail when police found her they initially believed she was six to eight-years-old. Weighing just 2.5 stone, the girl is now recovering and staying with other relatives. ‌

A report from The Mirror reveals that four people have been arrested - Walter Goodman, 47, his wife Melissa Goodman, 50, her daughter, Savanna LeFever, 29, and LeFever's partner, Kayla Stemler, 27. The four all lived at the property with the alleged victim and face the same charges. ‌
