Investigators have identified a person they believe is connected to a violent homicide in Brampton on Saturday afternoon.
Officers responded to a disturbance at a home on Clearjoy Street , where they found a man in his 50s who had been shot, Peel police said in a Sunday news release . Despite attempts to save his life, the man was pronounced dead shortly after.
A man was seen by witnesses leaving the area on foot.
Investigators believe it was an isolated incident and there is no broader threat to the public, Const. Tyler Bell-Morena said in a news conference Saturday evening.
Nicholas Jaglal, a 25-year-old from Brampton and the victim’s son, is wanted by police for second-degree murder and attempted murder.
