Health Canada is warning that a flashlight and laser pointer sold on Amazon.ca can cause permanent eye injury.

The recall, issued on Wednesday, is for the Gniby rechargeable green tactical flashlight that doubles as a green laser pointer. The product, was recalled for its laser component . Health Canada said the laser is a Class 3B hand-held laser, which can be dangerous to human safety.

” Injuries result from the laser beam being directed in the eyes, even from short unintentional exposure,” says the advisory.

Lasers with the ASIN number B0CJ8RSS56 had been tested by Health Canada officials before the agency made its classification.

Health Canada said no injuries related to the product have been reported to the agency so far.
