A heartbroken US husband said his British wife was unexpectedly arrested and detained by ICE agents when she was carrying out a final stage in her immigration process
A Brit mum was arrested while she held her baby boy at a US immigration interview, as her American husband watched in horror.
Katie's distraught husband Stephen Paul said his British wife was taken away by US ICE agents when the couple went to an immigration office for her Green Card interview. He said Katie had no criminal record and was in the final stages of becoming a permanent resident, in San Diego where the family lives. Stephen said his wife had overstayed her visa but the couple were advised this was traditionally not an issue when in the process for a Green Card.
