The Pittsburgh Steelers will start quarterback Mason Rudolph on Sunday against the Chicago Bears , according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and confirmed to PennLive. Rudolph, who came into the game last week and went 12 of 16 for 127 yards and one touchdown, now gets a chance to start and lead the Steelers to a win.
Aaron Rodgers pushed to play, but Rapoport said he could not get cleared, and next week seems likely for his return to the field.
“Aaron Rodgers has been pushing to play Sunday vs. the Bears, but Steelers doctors have been more cautious and guarded, per sources. If the decision is left to Rodgers, he will play, but the team has declined to provide hints as to its final decision,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter said last night.
