Michael Robinson, the dual threat quarterback who was one of the captains on Penn State’s 2005 Big Ten championship team, was in State College this weekend as part of NBC’s coverage of the Penn State-Nebraska contest.
During the Nittany Lions’ 37-10 demolition of the Cornhuskers on Senior Night at Beaver Stadium on Saturday, Robinson spoke with NBC colleague Kathryn Tappen on the field about the ongoing PSU football coaching search being conducted by athletic director Pat Kraft.
Robinson made it very clear who should be the Lions’ next permanent head coach to replace James Franklin.
Robinson said it should be Terry Smith, Franklin’s longtime assistant coach who is currently the Lions’ interim head coach.
