Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not play in Sunday's (November 23) game against the Chicago Bears, head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed to CBS Sports sideline reporter Evan Washburn during a pregame interview.
Backup Mason Rudolph , who took over after Rodgers suffered a wrist injury during the Steelers' Week 11 win against the Cincinnati Bengals, will start in his absence. Rodgers reportedly won't need surgery on his injured wrist and pushed to play in Sunday's game, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NFL Network 's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport last Tuesday (November 18).
Tomlin later confirmed that Rodgers wouldn't need surgery during his own press conference on Tuesday.
