A pilot of a chartered flight has been booked after a 26-year-old cabin crew member accused him of sexually assaulting her in a Bengaluru hotel, Hyderabad police said on Sunday.

The incident reportedly took place on November 18 in Bengaluru, but the woman filed her complaint only after she reached Hyderabad.

She approached the Begumpet Police Station, where officers registered a Zero FIR — an FIR accepted regardless of the location of the crime — under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The complaint was then forwarded to the Halasuru Police Station in Bengaluru for investigation.
