A missing 14-year-old schoolgirl from Birmingham has prompted an urgent police appeal.

West Midlands Police said that Sara has gone missing from the Shard End area of Birmingham .

Officers said they are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

She was last seen wearing black pyjamas, a brown coat and brown slippers.

In a statement, police said: "Have you seen Sara?

"Sara has gone missing
