Peel Regional Police are searching for a 25-year-old man, Nicholas Jaglal, in connection with the murder of his father in Brampton. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon at a residence on Clearjoy Street, located near the Hwy. 410 and Bovaird Drive intersection. Officers arrived at the scene around 3:15 p.m. and discovered Jaglal's father, a man in his 50s, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Jaglal is now wanted for second-degree murder and attempted murder. He is described as South Asian, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, with a thin build and black braided hair. Authorities have warned that he is considered armed and dangerous, urging anyone who sees him to call 911 immediately. In a separate incident, Toronto Police reported finding evidence of gunfire at the site of a multi-vehicle crash early Sunday morning. The collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. in the Steeles and Islington Avenues area, resulting in a woman being hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. While investigating the crash, officers discovered signs of gunfire but did not provide additional details. Roads in the vicinity were closed as police conducted their investigation. Additionally, a 29-year-old man has been charged following a stabbing incident at a Toronto residence early Sunday. Police stated that an altercation occurred between two men in the Keele Street and Lawrence Avenue area around 5 a.m. One man allegedly stabbed the other during the confrontation. The injured man is expected to survive. The suspect was arrested at the scene and faces multiple charges, including assault with a weapon and failure to comply with a release order. All allegations remain untested in court.
