A publican feared for his life after a man pulled a hammer on him and his partner while they were working behind the bar.
The Bear and Bells in Old Market, Beccles, was forced to close early yesterday afternoon after two “incredibly aggressive and intimidating” men entered the premises.
A video shared by publican John Greig on social media states that one of the men then went behind the bar and produced a hammer, threatening him and his partner.
In the video, Mr Greig says: “My partner and I were behind the bar yesterday afternoon when two men came in, behaving in an incredibly aggressive and intimidating way.
“One of them pulled out a hammer and came behind the bar. In that moment, we honestly thought we were going to lose our lives.
“It’s been a really traumatic experience for us.
