As an aspiring young musical theatre performer social media is an important tool for Miah Anderson in growing her profile.

But under the impending social media ban, she faces losing that avenue of promotion.

New laws to come into force December 10 ban under-16s from holding accounts for a range of social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.

The world-first ban means the 14-year-old dancer, singer and musician can no longer operate the social media pages designed to showcase her talents'.

No more posting videos of her dancing or singing to promote herself, or about shows she is in - at least under her existing accounts.

For as long as she can remember dreaming of a career on the stage, Miah worries about the impact the ban is going to have on that.
