Jamie Carragher has apologised for criticising the signing of Eberechi Eze in the summer. The Arsenal midfielder fired Mikel Arteta's side to a 4-1 victory against Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday night, becoming the first player to net a hat-trick in a North London Derby since Alan Sunderland back in 1978.
Eze, who snubbed the Lilywhites to join the Gunners in a deal worth £67.5m, found the net either side of half-time before finding his third with a quarter of an hour to spare.
