(WNDU) - The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Indiana Hoosiers stayed put in the latest Associated Press Top 25 college football poll .

The Irish (9-2) remain at No. 9 after dominating Syracuse while the Hoosiers (11-0) stayed at No. 2 after having a bye week. IU received seven first-place votes in this week’s poll.

As for other regional teams in the poll, Michigan moved up three spots from No. 18 to No. 15 after beating Maryland.

The fourth College Football Playoff rankings will be released this Tuesday at 7 p.m. In the third rankings issued this past Tuesday , IU was No. 2, Notre Dame was No. 9 and Michigan was No. 18.

NEWCOMERS : Pittsburgh (No. 24) and SMU (No. 25)

DROPPED OUT : Missouri (No. 23) and Houston (No. 25)

BIGGEST JUMP : Michigan (three spots)
