Rain couldn't stop old and new car enthusiasts from converging in the parking lot of the Palm Springs Convention Center for the start of McCormick's Classic Car Auction.

Whether they were looking for their first car or their 100th, auto lovers came from all over the country to view vintage vehicles or bid on a new ride as the three-day auction began Friday, Nov. 21.
