A Birmingham salon owner and two employees are under arrest after a dispute over the cost of a client’s braids was recorded and went viral on social media.
Aissatou Camara, 32, Julia Ondo, 30, and Gwadys Audrey Nzinga Koumba, 45, are charged with first-degree kidnapping and third-degree assault, Birmingham police announced Friday.
Sgt. LaQuitta Wade said they will be held without bond in the Jefferson County Jail.
The alleged crimes happened Saturday at Mama Gifted Hands salon at Parkway East.
The victim, Jessica Odom, posted about her ordeal on TikTok.
