Jaxon Smith-Njigba is having a season for the ages for the Seattle Seahawks.
The proof? JSN just broke the Seahawks franchise record for most receiving yards in a single season – and he did it in only the 11th game of the 17-game season.
With an eight-yard catch in the third quarter on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, Smith-Njigba moved to 1,309 receiving yards on the year. That eclipsed the previous record of 1,303 receiving yards by DK Metcalf in 2020.
The record-breaking catch by JSN gave him a season-high 163 yards on seven catches in the game. His career-high for a game is 180 receiving yards.
JSN has proven to have a special connection with first-year Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold, which was on display in the second quarter Sunday when they connected for a 63-yard touchdow
