GDANSK - Courtney Sarault, Steven Dubois and the mixed relay team all earned bronze medals for Canada on Sunday at an ISU short-track speedskating event.
Sarault, of Moncton, N.B., led the women’s 1500-metre race heading into the final lap but couldn't fend off Koreans Choi Minjeong and Kim Gilli to settle for third in two minutes 30.985 seconds. Minjeong won in (2:30.656 ahead of Gilli (2:30.610).
Sarault claimed a third medal over that distance this season, earning back-to-back gold medals in October during two World Tour stops in Montreal.
Sarault was also fourth in the 500-metre race.
Dubois, of Terrebonne, Que., was third in the men's 1,000-metre event in 1:25.283. Jens Van 'T Wout of the Netherlands earned the victory (1:25.147) with Italian Pietro Sighel taking silver (1:25.195)
